This was written during the year that I was a Research Fellow at the New College Institute for Values Research, situated on the campus of the University of New South Wales. Since 2000 was the year Sydney hosted the Olympic Games, our main project was sports ethics. My article was published in the Institutes’ quarterly journal/newsletter “Values” in mid 1999.
