I have attempted to list here every Biblical situation where some person has a conversation with God or with some supernatural being. To rate as a “conversation”, there must be at least something spoken by both parties. There are plenty of situations not listed here in which God speaks, or an angel speaks or a person speaks to God but in which there is no dialog. There are even situations where God appears (theophanies) (e.g. Noah in Gen 6-9, Jacob’s ladder dream in Gen 28) and a conversation is implied, but unless both parties are actually quoted as speaking, such situations are not listed here. Neither have I listed all the times when people conversed with Jesus in the flesh.
