Contra Slezak

The attached essay, “Some Comments on Slezak’s Analysis of Descartes, Gödel and Lucas” was written in 1988 for a class within the M. Cog. Sci. course at the University of NSW.

Peter Slezak was the lecturer of the module, as well as doing an amazing job co-ordinating the whole Master program.

I submitted a variant of this paper to the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science, and received my first academic rejection. At the same time I also mailed a copy to Prof. John Lucas and was surprised to receive the encouraging reply below …
